Practice Schedule
We practice from North Star Beach (Novice) and Coast Guard Beach (Open) in Newport Beach.
Look for outrigger canoes on the west end of the beach with “Imua” on them.
Men Practice Schedule
- Tuesday – 5:30p Check In, 6:00p on the water
- Thursday – 5:30p Check In, 6:00p on the water
- Saturday – 7:30a Check In, 8:00a on the water
Women Practice Schedule
- Monday – 5:30p Check In, 6:00p on the water
- Wednesday – 5:30p Check In, 6:00p on the water
- Saturday – 7:30a Check In, 8:00a on the water

SCORA Race Schedule
Plan your paddling season with the official Southern California Outrigger Racing Association (SCORA) schedule, featuring a full summer slate of competitions including thrilling sprint regattas, challenging iron distance races, and the culminating 9-man events hosted by clubs across the Southern California coast.
SCORA Release & Waiver
RETURNING PADDLERS
- Go to https://www.scora.org/login/
- Under “Registration/Existing Account Login” type in your login credentials.
- (If you forgot your password, please click “Lost Password?” DO NOT MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT.)
- Take note of your SCORA ID. You will need this when you sign your waiver.
- On the Account page click on “Waivers”.
- Complete the form.
- Click submit
- Check your inbox for confirmation email. Subject: [Current Year] SCORA Waiver. From: noreply@smartwaiver.com
NEW PADDLERS
- Go to Go to https://www.scora.org/login/
- Under “Create New SCORA Member Account”
- Complete the registration process
- Take note of your SCORA ID. You will need this when you sign your waiver.
- You will then be sent to Smartwaiver to sign your waiver.
Paddlers will be emailed a confirmation and a copy of their waiver.
Pay Your Dues
Stay current with your Imua paddling commitments by paying your annual team dues, ensuring you have purchased the required team race jersey, and contributing your share for the essential escort boat fees specific to participation in the 9-man racing season.
